The median home value comes from a five-year Census survey in which owners estimate their own home's value. It is not a recent sale price.[1] Morris is the county seat of Grundy County.[2] City park hours are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, and the city points to the path along the historic I&M Canal for hiking and biking.[3]
Morris is not on Metra's station lists or on Amtrak's list of its 30 Illinois stops.[4][6] Metra's Rock Island and Heritage Corridor lines end at Joliet, which is also an Amtrak stop, and the SouthWest Service ends at Manhattan.[4][5]

The city lists access to Route 6, Route 47 and Interstate 80.[7] No Pace bus stop is in Grundy County.[18] Grundy Transit gives on-demand rides throughout Grundy County and runs multiple daily trips to Joliet, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each ride must begin or end in Grundy County, and the number to call is (888) 786-0862.[8]
Morris Elementary School District 54 teaches preschool through 8th grade at one campus, Morris Grade School, and Morris Community High School District 101 runs the high school.[10][11] Saratoga District 60C and Nettle Creek District 24C also have Morris addresses.[12][13] A home's school district goes by its exact address. Morris Community High School points to Grundy County's property viewer for checking whether a parcel is in its district, so check the address before counting on a school.[11]
